Yes, that's what I meant about internal hiring has been ongoing since late February. People new to the HDOE system are still waiting for open recruitment, as in open to all applicants not just those already in the loop. The recruiter who did my intake interview said hiring starts in March so I got here in March. She failed to mention I could not be hired until the internal hiring was finished, actually she didn't even mention there were different stages of hiring.

I had a comment written, but deleted it as I don't want to seem to be presenting a negative attitude. Instead, let me say to please use the interview process as a way of having the DOE/school not only learn about you, but for YOU to learn about the SCHOOL that you will be working at.
