'LOST' TV Series....was all of it filmed in Hawaii?

They try to project themselves to be in various places from Australia, to Los Angeles, to Iowa....but most on the set always seem to be Hawaii scenery.

Maybe the only exception is some of the Korea scenes.

Anyone have any connections with various places that were used in the TV series in Hawaii?

Most of it was filmed on a set near Diamond Head.

Aloha Tiger,
almost exclusively filmed on the island of Oahu (you are correct-- Australia and Iowa scenes included). Even the Korea scenes were here on Oahu.

when they did studio filming, it was mostly done in the Hawaii Film Studio (indoor sets near Daimond Head as mentioned by Viper), but there were some production requirements that couldn't be handled there, so they used the Studio Soundstage in Los Angeles.

Some scenes (along with a ton of other movies,) were killed at Kualoa Ranch. When I took the tour last time, I felt a bit "lost" as I hadn't actually seen the show so I had no clue what the tour guide was talking about.

Jurassic Park, the Mummy, George of the Jungle were all filmed in that valley too.

The hospital scenes were filmed at what used to be St. Joseph's West (they changed the name on me and I can never remember what it is). I was on the surgical ward when they filmed there for a week. They took over the family waiting room and the main elevator and made all the staff and visitors use the back elevator (and no waiting room).

The "stars" were very rude to people and Heaven forbid a patient needed to take a walk (Dr's orders), I could hear someone yelling at the Nurses to "keep them all in their rooms, damn it!".

The final episode was filmed in part at Sacred Hearts Academy in Kaimuki. That is my alma mater. They used the parking lot, exterior and interior of our very beautiful Chapel.

They were all over Oahu. They filmed at Kualoa a lot, they were at the State Capitol a few times, and up Kapaa Quarry Road. The crews were real nice, and always offered the use of the food provided.

1. They filmed one scene inside Kaumana cave on the Big Island. This was the scene where John Locke goes inside a bear cave to find Echo.

2. One scene where Benjamin Linus travels to see Widmore sleeping in his hotel room. This one scene was shot in a hotel room in London because the actor that plays Widmore was doing a stage play and did not have time in his schedule to fly back to the islands.

That's cool...completely falls in line with Widmore and his accent.

Much of the beach stuff was filmed on the North Shore. There is a YMCA camp up there that was used as The Others compound.

Yes, most of Lost was filmed in Hawaii, Oahu to be specific. The actours lived here and took the time out to get to know the locals, which was pretty cool.
