Alaska Airlines has some screamin' deals for August. We can't believe how cheaply we will be flying to Kona from Fort Lauderdale (which is not where we live, but where we'll be flying from).

Depending on which part of the mainland they are coming from, it can still be quite expensive for them to visit. West Coast relatives visit much more often than East Coast relatives. And not all of them will visit, either. If you have a tight-knit family and are close to your relatives and want to see them at least once a year, you'll probably have to plan for at least one trip to the mainland each year.

I just break out the futons and pack in ohana. Anyone who has particular needs has a choice of wonderful hotels and condos they can book for themselves.
