I think a combo petting zoo/hostess bar would fill a lot of voids on Oahu. Maybe throw in a State employee discount and pua'a petting, imu lighting, Primo two for one Friday?

Primo three for one?

Just a,,,, uuuurrrrpppp, scuze me, suggestion

Who's the "we"? Mouse in your pocket or royalty?

Your area might be different, but all my friends and family on the mainland like those stores. You are certainly free to shop elsewhere if you have different preferences.

Jung: a hostess bar IS a petting zoo.

Hey, I've been here a while and perhaps am a bit jaded but majorly realistic.
Cholo's is okay and has the niche re Mexican on the North Shore---los nietos Mexicanos love the horchata (I don't think it's on the menu---you have to ask for it). Grandma loves the margaritas. As someone who has Mexicans in her family and loves Mexican food, I have to second the vote for Los Chapporos. Serg's Mexican Kitchen gets good reviews too, with locations in Manoa and Waimanalo but I've yet to stop in.
But really, unless you have authentic Mexican roots and are ready to rock the venue, I would skip any aspirations to becoming the next best Mexican restaurant on Oahu.
"Mexico" restaurant is supposed to be good too, in Kalihi. Maybe someday.
Mexico is pretty good, but a little bland. The best Mexican I've found is in my own cucina.

Uh, yeah - they don't come with phones do they........

International data plans are dirt cheap nowadays (and wireless easy to jump on - think McDonalds/Starbucks) and combined with Line, Skype, Viber, Whatapp, etc - it is a non-issue
