Thumbs up Best Place to Eat!!!!

We found the best place to eat on the North Shore(i think) in Hauula. Its a place called The Original Papa Ole's.

If you ever on that side of the island don't forget to stop by and get something to eat...

The Hawaiian food is the best I've ever tasted... they also have these home made rolls with peanut butter....OMG.. im getting hungry for it now....lol

Just gotta go and try it out for yourself....

On the BI I recentally found two spots - one if you want a "Staycation" as they call it go to Hawi - the only Hotel in town Kohala Inn I believe - you show id and get room for $100 and $50 towards food at adjoining bar - you get two drinks of any kind- and $50 towards food in place -called Lukes

Only issue you have to call to get reservation and they are only there in afternoon to check you in... don't bother if after 6pm.

the place is really great - old planation headquarters fixed up - food is really better than I found in Kona.... the Korean chicken is out of this world! the fresh fish is always good and not Mahi mahi... real local catch.

Other is Big Island Grill in Kona ---- breakfast out of this world! Pork chops not over cooked and the Portagues (sp) sausage the best found on the island! Steaks are Big and everything else I had amazing bannana pancakes WOW and not too expensive - same price or less than Denny's... and blows it away!!!

Don't know the directions to place but deal with me - a gas station is next store - before the church stepple on main drag ( not ocean drag) it would be (yes directions from mainland) a block or so south of Sea Side hotel.... best food I found in Kona!!!
