We recently spent a most lovely 2 weeks in Hawaii (1 week in Kona, and 1 in Maui). Loved the beaches, mountains, food, weather, people... Can't think of a more idyllic place to live. Which prompted our son to wonder where do Hawaiians go for vacation? Y'all are already in paradise!

Family is a compelling reason for sure! I never expected to see Vegas on the vacation list though. That's probably one of the last places I'd want to visit. The search for snow is also surprising
