Smile Moving to Oahu with children

Hello! My husband and I visited Maui on our honeymoon 6 years ago and fell in love (as I'm sure most people do) We have always talked about moving, but now we have 3 children (all under 5 years old) and my views / concerns have changed. Can someone tell me what areas have the best schools on either Maui or Oahu and what do working parents do for child care? What activities are there for kids on Oahu? And I have been reading about health care in Hawaii and have found that there are 2 health insurance companies......which one is better for kids? And maternity care in case we decide to have another We are going to visit Oahu in 3 weeks so any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

the two biggest health care providers in hawai'i are: kaiser permanente and hmsa. there are others such as summerlin and hmaa. if you are going to work full-time, your employer will provide health insurance for you and your family. you may/may not have to pay part of the premium. also, everything depends on the health plan you have.

there are other threads/posts that discuss the "better" schools in hawai'i. try using the search button at the top for more info.
