Cool The spirit of Aloha : )

I am moving to Maui this summer with my two teen sons and we can't wait to get there! I have been reading this forum now since last year and feel pretty prepared in many ways and want to thank all the posters for their honesty. What I want to know more about is the spirit of Aloha. I am a metaphysical practitioner and we are pretty laid back, are there many spiritual centers there or shaman or kahuna or people trained in huna ways who offer advanced teaching?

maybe this will help answer some of your questions:

Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders Health Resources there's a profile about papa henry auwae, the only living master of hawaiian medicine. click on the link that says "hawaiian healer."

Oh no!! I looked at that information and the link for him didn't work so I googled him. This is what I found to my dismay. Honolulu Star-Bulletin Hawaii News Does anyone else know of any teachers of huna ways? I am sad that I missed meeting this great man.

sorry about that. but, the article also mentions an "angel pilago." i was also wondering if the UH John Burns school of medicine has some info. think s. kalani brady is in charge of the native hawaiian medicine program. don't quote me on that. try going to their site.

I found a lot of information about Kahuna Serge Kahili King on a website The Common Girl Spiritual Channeler that is good. I believe he also has a couple of sites with his info Serge's Cybership: adventures for your spirit, mind and body and HUNA FROM HAWAII - featuring the Huna healing tradition of Serge Kahili King. You got me off to a really helpful start, thank you!
