Default Need advice on hotels in Kailua-Kona

We are vacationing in Hawaii in a little over 3 weeks. Part of our trip will be on the Big Island. I have yet to book our hotel. I have researched and many of the hotels have bad reviews. Could someone please help!!!! We would like to have a partial ocean view if possible, non-smoking, and around $150-175 a night. Thanks!

We have stayed at the Outrigger Keahou twice since July and love it. It's on Alii Drive about 2 miles from the shops and restaurants. Part of the hotel is built out over the tide pools. You can look down and see turtles and fish swimming right below you. I got some of my best photos of sea life from the hotel bar just a couple of feet above the water. They are also located right next to a popular snorkeling beach. There is a shopping center close by with a grocery store, Longs, movie theater, restaurants etc. The first time we stayed there in July, the room we stayed in looked like it needed a little updating, but had a very nice ocean view. We stayed there again on Christmas Eve and the room looked freshly remodeled.

You should have no trouble getting a partial oacean view in the $150-$175 range. Good luck!

Default Thanks!

Thanks for your help. The Outrigger must be good because it is booked up during the time we needed. I will check out Orbitz and see what they recommend. Aloha
