And in the meantime, dump out all containers of water in your yard that filled up from the recent rains. If you have a full time pond, make sure there's mosquito fish inside. Actually, ponds with mosquito fish do a lot to control mosquitoes since they lay their eggs there which then get eaten.

Those "magic mesh" doors are great for letting in the breeze and keeping the mosquitos out.

And as mentioned, the long sleeves and mosquito repellent are good, too!

Dengue.....
Having lived in Panama, Mexico, as well as, visiting many countries in Central and South American Countries it can become a major concern.
2 of my 14 Godchildren in Mexico are Physicians. They told me that they are providing a vaccine for Dengue. Let's hope that it's fast tracked for Hawaii.
Not having to coverup or apply chemicals is why we should lobby for access.

Technology has the means to eradicate mosquitoes, using genetic modifications.

I think Hawaii might be the ideal place to implement it; mosquitoes are an invasive species here, after all.
