However... the voters can approve added assessments... I saw my tax go up 10% this last go on a vacant lot in Oakland... Oakland/Alameda County voters tend to be very generous!
And it only takes 55% voter approval to build a new school or repair an old one.
Own a property in Washington State and it went up 80% on one move... my neighbors there are from Hawaii and they saw their taxes jump too.
