Surely you jest?? How do you know there are no heirs? Maybe they live on the mainland and have not been able to get there. How do you know it's not in probate?
Why don't you just go buy a house instead of scheming to take what is not rightfully yours?

So let me get this straight. A law student knows of a home, where an elderly person died and the home is now empty and want to steal the home, because he does not see anyone living there and thinks this may be perfectly fine to do.

I cannot believe the ho'i you have to think just because someone is not occupying the home, you have the right, to take it. Does anyone else not see how incredibly selfish this is? Why not do a title search and then search for family members who may not know that her home is not occupied, they may not even be aware she is dead.

How does a person, even JUSTIFY morally or spiritually that this is even okay to do?

Secondly, how does someone studying law, even think this is okay to do?

Unreal.

Or sad, considering that it's now July and OP hasn't posted in about two months.
