Sure there are greater numbers on Oahu for a variety of reasons, but any ratings you see in the travel sites list Maui as the favorite, one of many:

and no knock intended on Oahu - also a favorite

Any ratings?

Here is one for Kauai

Tripadvisor outright says in the second paragraph: "Oahu is the most popular island"

https://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g...ch.Island.html

I'm sure someone highly rates the Big Island but just can't find one.

Maui is my favorite for a weekend getaway but I wouldn't characterize it as most popular especially for international visitors.

Clearly people have their favorites. My statement was not to say that maui is the best but was in response to our first time poster who criticised Maui and said he could find less to do there than on kauai. Dave

I dunno, picking one island over another without stating the criteria used to make the choice is kinda useless. If you want to choose an island for the most vibrant night life, you'll get one answer. If you're gonna choose one for beaches, you'll get another answer. Even if you had the same list of twenty criteria and stacked them up differently by priority, you'd change the answers.

But, the OP has already visited Kauai and now wants to visit two other islands. I'm guessing Oahu and Maui would be good choices for them from what they've mentioned.

Fortunately we don't all want the same things or just think of the shortage of surf boards there'd be out there.
