Known as Operation Starfish Prime......
Thanks for that information. Obviously, these weren't EMP weapons.

Electrical Grid not only down, but much of it destroyed, communications destroyed, cars & motorcycles inoperative, and more, would be the result of a significant EMP. No solar panels, no generators (electronics blown out). Perhaps a steam engine would work!!!!

It probably won't happen, and Hawaii is not a prime target, but it doesn't hurt to have a little "preparedness" under your belt.

Hmmm, I thought I was very clear but it went way over your head apparently - EMP weapons are nuclear weapons. There is no satellite ray gun circling the earth.....

Evidently we're already knocked out Kim's electrical grid. No wonder he's so pissed off.

It's been like this for many, many years. The people live pathetic lives while the ruling elite live like kings, and their military grows. Tree bark has become a staple!!!

Like Neutron bombs, they are highly specialized bombs, not just "garden variety" ones. Neutron bombs, BTW, are designed to produced a massive flux of Neutrons that kill people, but since there is much less "blast" effect, infrastructure is largely left undamaged.

I don't know where you got the idea that EMPs bombs were "Ray Guns" - certainly not from me, although you seem to be trying to pin it on me. Naughty boy!

Minor point - they don't have one.

Anyway, all this fuss about a country that hasn't tested a nuclear bomb stronger than the US dropped in Japan 72 years ago. Let alone get it on a missile and get it somewhere without GPS technology.

Um, it was 72 years ago, but no matter, most of us, at least on this island are more worried about fire ants, rat lung disease and whether the dog just licked a bufo.
