Well - get out a map, Hawaii is a small dot in the middle of the Pacific - while the mainland is an easier target.....with much more at stake.
Well, Hawaii, Oahu specifcally, is larger than Seattle ... and has more strategic value militarily, though less economically. In general though, your point is reasonably well made ... a few North Korean missiles are more effectively destructive aimed at a variety of mainland targets.
And of course then there's Guam, if NDPK wants to diminish America's closest threats to their security.

Strategically, a strike on Hawai'I (specifically Honolulu), could have the potential of being much more devastating than a hit to a comparable sized mainland city. This is simply due to the amount of resources that would need to be allocated from the mainland to support rescue and rebuilding efforts.
In the event of a nuclear attack on Hawai'i, will cockroaches and Costcos survive?
The answer, of course, is a resounding yes.
But the chances of NK attacking Hawaii is 0 so good thing there's nothing to worry about there.
People who actually believe there's a chance that NK will attack any US soil knows not much of how NK actually works. The MSM is really propagating this totally laughable fear mongering.
NK has been doing what they've ALWAYS done and contrary to POTUS saying he'll "take care of it" I highly doubt the US will strike first either.
People need to worry about the rising ocean level more than anything
