A Hawaiian hothead pulled a gun on a neighbor who returned to the area to check on his lava-threatened home, according to a report.

Lava had nothing to do with this person's actions. Here are some videos of the same individual from 2009:

Dayum, Ol' John Hubbard seems not to embrace the Aloha Spirit.

He should also be charged with Indecent Exposure for wearing that outfit.

Unless you live in parts of Puna.

Here is the thing. People do act like in some parts of Puna (haters, emphasis on parts). This is not exactly in some parts not a blissful area. Your neighbor can be Mr Rogers like or Unabomber like.

What a prejudiced statement! Yes, people like that exist in Puna. People like that exist EVERYWHERE. Your short-sighted post makes it sound like this nutjob is some kind of ambassador for Puna.

Nothing can be further from the truth.

How long have you / did you live in Puna? I'm assuming you have real-life experiences to back up your prejudiced nonsense? If not, then quit spreading misinformation.

Seriously. Do we have to resurrect all the nut job posts and dangerous things even on this forum?

I’ve been to Puna dozens of times - the land of no trespassing signs. Parts of which is not for the faint of heart.

Thanks for answering my question. You've never lived here, and you have no idea what you are talking about.

Why not leave it at that?

Apparently I know the area better than you. It’s ridiculous to suggest what I’m saying isn’t true and undermines your credibility to suggest otherwise.
