Does Anyone Know About Shipping??? (prices, cheapest, best)

Hi,
I'm a small business owner in both California and Hawaii... I'm searching for the best prices for shipping wrought iron staircases and gates. Sometimes it'll only be raw materials and equipment. I received a prompt response from Matson, but everyone else gives me the "runaround". I was hoping someone here might have some experience they could share... It would be Very Much appreciated.

You can access UPS and FEDEX on the web for weight/prices.

Forget UPS and FEDEX, they are the most expensive options. For packages which weigh less than 70# and have certain maximum dimensions, U.S. Parcel Post is the cheapest. However, it doesn't sound like your packages will fit those dimensions. Other than Matson, you could check some freight consolidators, sometimes they have cheaper rates. I'm not sure who those folks would be in your area, though. Hawaiian Freight Forwarders? Yellow Freight? DHX?

We use palletized deck cargo (salt air may not be good for steel, though) or sharing smaller containers called G-vans when shipping between the islands. That would be Young Brothers.
