Post Building new High Rise Hotels in Hawaii

I realize that tourism is the largest or one of the largest sources of income in Hawaii, but I feel the people of Hawaii should be allowed to vote Yes or No, before any further hotels or resorts are build in the Islands, High Rise hotels in particular.

Where are they building them? Which island?

I think one of the positives of high-rise hotels is that the tourists are condensed in one area, plus they bring more tourists, which means more money spread around the islands.

If they weren't in highrises, then what would they be in? a large boat of some kind off the coast?

Or are you thinking of the general population deciding if they want tourists or not in general?..and encouraging/discouraging them accordingly?
