You can follow it on a weather site, like accuweather.com - just type in a Hawaii zip code to get the 15-day forecast. Right now, for my zip (96746), the forecast highs for the next two weeks are around 81-83 degrees. When we arrived in August (and for most of September), the forecast highs were between 85 and 88 (though sometimes it hit 90; I think it was a fairly hot September). I have seen the predicted highs go as low as 78-79 in the winter, but you can't count on that; I've been here in February when the high was well over 80. I recall seeing a site that had all sorts of graphs of average high and low temps, rainfall, etc. for Hawaii, but I'm not sure what it was.

It's been raining a lot here (east side Kauai), but not all day - some days it's clear in the morning and the clouds come in in the afternoon, with a shower or two, and other days it's raining in the morning and clears up in the afternoon. Most nights it rains. But we're in a relatively wet area, I don't think they get as much rain down in Poipu or out toward the west side. The north shore, I understand, gets much more than we do, especially in the winter.

Send the rain over here, Moku Nui, we could use it! We haven't had rain in weeks it seems like and the chickens and geese are all dusty. Tiny beans on the coffee trees, too. Sigh! Rainy season should already have started, shouldn't it?

Do you guys ever get thunderstorms? I live in a desert right now, and miss the thunderstorms we got on the mainland East Coast and midwest.
