Hiya everybody!

I'm one of the oh-so-many people who have made their way to this forum with the intention of considering Hawaii as a candidate for a move. Which Islands to Visit/Move?

I think it really depends on what you are looking for. If seclusion/beauty is at the top of your list, I would go with Kauai. If shopping, nightlife, lots of people, then go with Oahu. If you want to explore Volcanos, the Big Island. If you want a blend of beauty and a little more populated, then go with Maui.

If your a country person like me, fishing, hiking, hunting, crusing, diving, then the Big Island is a fun place. If you like city life, Oahu is the place to be. Hilo is fun to visit, but one town can get small really fast since the rest of the island closes down pretty early.

This idea that if people get a negative attitude it means they must have put out a negative attitude disregards the fact that the locals may not dislike you the individual, but they dislike what your very presence means. I think to live in Hawaii is to understand that.
