Calico, thats great news! my parents dont speak english, so movie is not an option, but my mom loves to shop-so she can go to Kahului on her own and shop her brains out. hopefully she can walk to the stores from the bus stop.

I believe the Kaahumanu mall is one of their stops. Also probably Maui Mall down the street (smaller, but also has theatres).
Is your mom going to just visit, or move over with you?

Calico, my mom will probably stay until Spring. we will see how it goes, she used to come and stay for 6-8 months with us in NY, and then go to Russia for the summer. But NY is easier-there is a big russian community, she does not have to speak english. lets see how long she will last on Maui
My husband's mom is also coming for 2-3 months, and maybe my dad in the winter for one month, at least I hope so!
so will be busy, and broke, all our money will go towards plane tickets!

I'm confused...
Aloha juliahuff... but I am very confused as to your posts. Have you not mentioned time and again that your husband is a successful Doctor? Why in the world are you pouring your parents onto public transportation in a strange state while they are on vacatin visiting you? Why don't you rent them a car?
