my husband and I may be relocating to Maui Are there reasonable rentals in Hano or pukalani for a couple with a dog?

Aloha,
Hana is located on the East side of Maui, it takes about umm 2hours to drive too from Kahului each way. If you have a job in Hana then it would be a good idea to live there. Pukalani is upcountry. It's about a 10-15minute drive from Kahului if no more slowdowns on the road. In Central Maui a 2bd/2ba can run $1300, 1bd $1150, 3bd $1650 depending where the location is according to "The Maui Wrap" newspaper. Check the Maui News online on Sunday to get more information.
