Default Good restaraunt for a bridal dinner

Hi all, my fiancee and I will be getting married on Wailulu (no idea if I spelled that right) beach on 12/4 of this year, and will be spending the week in Honolulu. We're looking for a good place for a luau on Friday night (the 5th) although from all I've read the one at the Polynesian center is the way to go.

What we're still 100% up in the air about is where to eat after the ceremony on 12/4. Can anyone familiar with Honolullu restaraunts recommend a good place? We're looking for something that's nicer/formal, but not too overly stuffy. We'll have 12 people with us, so I assume we'll need a place where we can reserve a room (or patio area?). It's ok if it's a little pricy, but we're looking to avoid the $100/plate top top top of the line places. Can anyone suggest anything? Thanks! And aloha!

There's so many different kinds of restaurants that serve different types of food..
It depends what you're looking for.

Check out the Pagota Restaurant at the Pagota Hotel in Honolulu - it's where I had my bridal shower and it was wonderful!

From their website:

"The Pagoda Floating Restaurant’s unique architecture gives the appearance of a pagoda suspended over a miniature lake in a timeless setting of gently cascading waterfalls. Three private teahouse dining rooms seat from 8-20 persons. The teahouses provide vantage points for guests to enjoy the hotel's luxuriant Oriental garden setting and fish-filled waterways.
Featured cuisine reflects the melding of Asian, Western and Hawaiian favorites. With numerous awards to its credit, the landmark Pagoda Floating Restaurant has been a special spot for generations of islanders.
The Pagoda Floating Restaurant provides reasonably priced dining experiences in uniquely beautiful surroundings for daily breakfasts and dinners as well as a delicious and extensive buffet for Sunday brunches."

It's been around since the 50's, I believe, and many local families celebrate there. BTW, they have great breakfasts too!
