unfortunately, it would be even better if there were more of those bungalows.

no, it's just a commercialized place with a beach now.

oh, yes, that's so much better.

we were there twice in the last three years and i have to admit in COMPARISON it's better than most places in the u.s. but it's become sterile and it doesn't have the charm or culture it did in the past.

it's barely worth the long trek over there unless the beach is your extreme passion day in and day out aka tanning or whatever those shallow tourists do. lol

americans can't even get city rankings right. moscow is listed as the most expensive city in the world with seoul at number five and honolulu at number 77. that's a laugh and a half.

other cities like seoul are more realistic and have one-rooms and officetels that can be anywhere from 200usd to 600 usd in the city for single individuals that not only include all utilities but some food as well and furnished, provide basic toiletries such as soap and toothpaste, they are efficient and clean. You also don't have to live in someone else's home (eww) and lack privacy and you pay by the month. it's a real city in that you dont' have to look for someone renting out a room and hopefully you get lucky crossing your fingers , lol, these are business establishments catering to working single people starting out which makes a lot of sense and they are EVERYWHERE. restaurants are also cheaper than most u.s towns! in america, you either have the riffraff apartments, expensive hotel/motel(even the cheap hotels, who can afford to pay 50 or more per night? every day? yeah right) overly gaudy places that try to sell stupid amenities or the burbs. pathetic. most working people don't have time for that anyways. i rarely used the 'fitness center' or the pool in apartment complexes, and they sell it like it's god-like. lmao.

you can live in a city like seoul for far less than you can in honolulu, for example. non u.s. cities are way more modern and sophisticated and astute than any u.s. city i've been in. from the way american live, they aren't made for real cosmpolitian life and they aren't made to understand real relaxation either. they are gaudy or shallow and ultimately mediocre and sterile or the other-riffraff.

hawaii is expensive but so is america in general anyways. they try to fleece you for everything they can get out of you and the economy is a pyramid scheme. they don't think of how the bottom rung or service people will survive. they lie to the american people as if an average wage earner can afford a decent place to live, pay for a car and insurance etc. it's not possible just by numbers. most of these people live with their parents or crash on other's couches! the transit system in america is mostly nonexistant in most places. yeah, america is so sophisticated. not.

I could be wrong on this, it's just what I observed.
Not really... Maui, Kauai and the big island all have city or county owned race tracks. Oahu has many city and or county owned golf courses, but no race tracks. go figure.....

who ever goes to watch someone play golf on a municipal course??

people will go to many a legnth, to watch a race.
