If you haven't ever been near a volcano, go see it. I must say it's one of the most profoundly moving sights in the world -- you have a sense of being at the seat of creation. On the other hand, if you have any breathing issues at all, you need to know that you will be exposed to great amounts of sulfur, and in the past year, the Vog has been bad off and on. The link above will give you some good history, and a way to check the levels before visiting.
