Default Visiting Hawaii in July

Aloha!

A few friends and I are visiting the north shore of Oahu and Kona the first two weeks of July and as I work on planning our trip I have a few questions.

1) What is the average price of gas right now?
2) What is a reasonably priced grocery store on the North Shore? Kona?
3) Which is the best Luau on Oahu?

Thanks for help! Can't wait to enjoy the islands for a second time!

FoodLand works for either location. When you go into the store, go straight to customer service, sign up for the savings program and then go shop. You will get the prices that are listed on the "sales prices" on all the various items. Mainland address is not an issue. The number you will be assigned will be good on all islands.

If you have a Military ID card go to any Commissary (Schofield is the closest) to the North Shore.

The best luau is the one given by Native Islanders in their back yard (cannot beat the food nor the 'entertainment'.

A lot of tourists seem to like the luau at Paradise Cove (next to Ko Olina). I hope you enjoy your time here.
