Default Anyone heard of these apartments

Makakilo cliffs I guess its near waikele. They seem to be fairly cheap(like 1500-1800 a month and accept pets) I was wondering if anyone has had any experience, or heard of anyone living there before.

Thanks

If it's the condos I'm thinking of, it's west of Waikele on the hill above Kapolei. Depending upon how far "up" the hill you are, Waikele, and all the shops located there are about 10 to 15 minutes away. My company bid on this project in the late nineties, and, once again, if it's the ones I'm thinking of, it's WAY up the hill. Would be a nice place to be located, as long as your job didn't take you into Honolulu every day. AC Koboyashi, the general contractor who built the project, managed to lose a water truck up there, tumbled down into a ravine, so, it isn't called the "Cliffs" for nothing. If I were moving to Oahu, Makakilo would be a nice choice, either there or Nuuanu.

Aloha and okolemaluna

Thanks, I have seen a few that have been in the 1350-1800- a month range that "looked" nice, but who knows. Im not talking about ones in wainaie because I heard to steer clear from there. There was a few in kapolie that were nice looing, but I read some reviews and a lot of people didn't like them althogh they appeared to be really nice so who knows.

Makakilo Cliffs, like most communities or complexes in Hawaii, are condos that are rented out by individual owners and landlords, so the experiences will vary greatly depending on how nice / upgraded / trashed the individual condo units are and how good, or bad, your actual landlord is.

The place itself is fine, and convenient if you're mainly going to be out on that side of the island. Otherwise you can find similar condos out in Waipio Gentry and Waikele (a little newer) for just a little more which will take you several miles closer to town...

Good luck!

Actually I live in Makakilo cliffs and I find the weather here to be cooler than in other places. So there is no central air because of the nice breeze that goes thur the house most of the time. I work in Cambell Industrial Park so it is quiet convienent for work. Although the traffic maybe bumper to bumper, and takes you twice the time to get into Honolulu are, after about 8am, it is easy flowing. Until 3pm to 6pm where the traffic going the other way gets slow. Except by the exits for Waikiki and downtown area, it is always slower for most of the day. But it is still bearable and not to worry too much about traffic. The streets run north to south and east to west. Maps are easy to get anywhere. Or directions from a nearby person. And yes, nomatter where you rent you will always take a chance on a bad or good landlord! Honesty is always the best policy.
