Default HPP/Leilani Estates

Hi,

I recently moved to HPP and have been having mold allergies as I am allergic to mold, and it is growing on everything. Someone told me Leilani Estates is not as moldy. Is this true? Thanks a lot.

Leilani is wetter overall than HPP, it is at a higher elevation. I've been in Leilani 10 years, always have mold growing on something....

You're going to be hard-pressed to find anywhere on the windward side that doesn't have mold/mildew.

Thanks for the replies. Do people with mold allergies cope in some way, or do they just end up moving elsewhere. I am just wondering how people cope with it, if they are allergic to it. Wondering if there is anything that I can do about it. Thanks!

I'm not allergic to it but try to keep it at a minimum. I've gotten rid of as many mold harboring places as I could by removing all the draperys & carpets, overstuffed furniture, closet & cabinet doors and try to keep the house as open and breezy as possible. It is somewhat drier below about 8th St. in HPP and along the Red Rd. from Kapoho to Kalapana.

Thanks, I think we will end up moving to below 8th Avenue and trying that out. I have heard that before.

We bought a dehumidifier a couple of years ago. A lifesaver during rainy season!
