what type of house,condo,land would you buy in hawaii and where,if you had 200-300000 cash?and if your house is paid totally,how much would you need in addition to live frugal:gas,food,electricity and so on:monthly?

with 200,300000 dollar i can buy an appartement ,2,3 bedrooms in a big german city or if i go country,i could get a house.But i have familly properties in Europe and i do not intend to buy in Europe.I live in California,will move soon to south california and i intend to buy,sooner or later in Hawaii.As green card holder,can i buy in Hawaii?

i do not know,which island..on which island can i get something in this price range and what can i get?only a condo or a little house?I do not want to live there permanently,only in seven,eight ,years.But i think maybe now is teh right time to buy.Are the house market so affected there as hier in california?

Permanent Residents of the USA ("Green Card Holders") can buy real property in Hawaii, but so can foreigners who have no permanent residency status in the USA.

On Oahu, you can't really find much of anything in that range. A tiny, tiny studio somewhere, maybe. Or a leasehold place, which it doesn't sound like you want.
