You're a regular Dr. Dolittle.

Just out of curiosity, how are you bringing the Koi?

Yea how can you do that? My kids are having a hard time paring with the goldfish for our move, didn't think there was any way to bring little Goldie with us.

Most of my koi came from Kodama Koi on Oahu, and originally are from Japan. They will fly back to Hawaii the same way they left. I know a koi dealer here with space, he is the one who gets my pond started in the spring (moves koi out of basement) and closes down the filters in the fall. (moves koi back into basement.)
Fish are shipped UPS or FEDEX overnight, in a bag with pure oxygen added. They are not fed for 5 days prior to shipping. Koi ship very well. Many fly direct from Japan to JFK in NY without problems after the fall mud pond harvests in Japan.

How are you transporting the dogs? When I moved from NY to AZ, I used Detla Dash. The pets are the last ones loaded on to the plane and the first ones taken off the plane. I had to pick up my dog at the cargo building.

At this point it's looking like Continental out of Newark direct to HNL. I have to call and see how many dogs they can fit on that plane. If I can't take them all at once I'm gonna freak.

Do you have all your paperwork for the tortoise? Not all species are allowed, and there's paperwork to do, just like with dogs.

I'm sure you must know this already; just posting for others who will read your post and think about packing their pet turtle for a plane ride.
