What does food really cost in Hawaii?
I see lots of questions about how much food costs in Hawaii. Here's a link that will really answer that question.
Foodland is one of the biggest supermarkets in Hawaii. You can click on "This weeks advertised specials", and then click on the island you're thinking of.
Real prices. Now.
Welcome to Foodland.com
Safeway is the other big supermarket, but I don't find an ad from them.

For comparison shopping, there's also Times Supermarket.

Yeah, it's only $6.84 per gallon at Times Supermarket after taxes.
For the most part, Costco, Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, and K-Mart tend to have the best prices for milk in Hawai'i.

Just went to Wal Mart today to buy some milk and it was $5 a gallon. It was $4 last year. And they say there is no inflation.

I'm sure glad I don't like milk to begin with.

can you grow some fruit and veggies? Can you go down to the beach and throw out a line? gee, does everything have to come in plastic to be nuked? I don't think so!
BTW milk is the same price on the Mainland. they claim its cause all the corn is going into ethanol production not the cows. LOL
