A couple of years ago I got a stye on my eye, went to see eye Doctor and he prescribed RX only ophthalmic bacitracin ointment. This week I've had another one crop up, the meds only $10 but I'm faced with going to the eye doc (copay $70). No way around??

Only if you have a secondary insurance that covers whatever your primary doesn't cover. But even those usually have an out-of-pocket deductible, and those deductibles are typically much more than $70.

1, You could try calling the eye doctor's office and see if they will authorize a Rx renewal without an office visit.

2. If $70 is "specialist" co-pay, and "primary" doctor is less, will primary doctor see you and write Rx ??

3. Try home treatment Styes-and-Chalazia-Topic Overview
