As a teacher, I just pay $32.00 for a high-option rider. I am aware that I am very lucky. I saw Sicko & believe that all of us deserve free quality health care.

Retired paying about $9,000 year for my huband (63) and myself (60) with a $5800 deductible...no vision, dental, or co-pay. It has gone up about $1200 a year since we retired 5 years ago. It's thru Assurant Health and was the best rate we could find. Everything else was 80/20, or 60/40 and cost more.

I pay $86.00 per month BC/BS Federal Employee plan, I have had it for years and continued it when I retired. If I did not have this plan all these years thru the employer I would never have been able to have insurance since I have had diabetes for many years now. As far as I know insurance companies will deny coverage to someone purchasing health insurance on their own if they have conditions such as diabetes. I think the entire Health Insurance issue in this country is a disgrace that needs to be addressed alot more than the riduculous ballot initiatives I see in this country at election time. In other words everyone in this country should never have to go without health care, Period.

Mine is kind of weird. I could say I pay nothing since my employer covers my healthcare 100%. Problem is I work for my husband, at his company, so we really are paying. It is $550 a month for two of us for HealthNet HMO. He also covers his other employees at 100%.
We had to do this to get healthcare. We couldn't get insurance from anyone, at any price, since my husband has heart problems. One agent actually suggested I cut him loose since I can get insurance and he can't! Nice to see what our country is coming to!

We pay $150 and DH's job covers the rest.

My mom, 62, pays about $500/mo and that's for "catastrophic" so she pretty much pays MD visits out of pocket. Her deductible is $5K/yr with another $1K co-insurance/yr. Ouch.

I'm single and I pay $32/month with a $250 deductible. My office visit cop-pay is $15 I think. My employer switched insurance coverage in July and I haven't used the new insurance yet.

Unfortunately, me and my husband don't have it. We are full time college students, and we cannot afford paying for one until we are done with college...
