If your doctor found blood in your urine, why didn't he explain what it meant? The most common problem is just a urinary tract infection. On occasion, those will clear themselves up but usually you'd need to take amoxycillin or similar for several days.

Infection, kidney stones, cysts, renal masses, bladder stones or polyps, renal hypertension, any of these can cause blood in the urine. Did your doctor recommend some follow-up tests to discover the exact cause? Some of these problems are mild and easily cured but others can be very serious.
