Ask you friend where she got her info. Did it come from a place that uses the HONcode logo? Ask for more info, take the info to your doctor.
Do NOT just blindly believe things like this without thoroughly checking them with a medical professional.
Do your research and do it on MEDICAL websites like Medscape, WedMD, the National Institute of Health, the CDC, the New England Journal of Medicine...sites like that. Liz

Most doctors don't do much research on lotions, moisturizers and their ingredients. So they may not be much help.
Just go to the store, find the lotion you like, and check the label for the above ingredients. I would avoid anything with "PEG" anything in it. Also the imidazolidinyl urea. That's really urine, blood or other body tissues from animals. And of course avoid the FD&C colors.
Some good brands to try:
Desert Essence
Kiss My Face
Jason
Burts Bee's

Most lotions have coloring in them...red # 40 etc...
These are waste (biporduct) of the petroleum industry...I am allergic to them and don't use anything with them in it and yes its a pain because they are in everything...I eat alot of organic stuff.
These colorings have been linked to Cancer, heightened risk if ADD and ADHD in children.

It's hard to find anything, even common foods, that aren't possibilly cancer causing. The important thing is to remember that it's the amount that may or may not be the problem. With lotions, etc. there is a bigger problem of the skin not being able to function as it should because it's so coated with oily lotions.
Considering how much trouble we have with things coming from China lately, I really would question ANY information from that source.

Johnson's site (http://www.johnsonsbaby.com/faq.do - broken link)
FWIW
Johnson's has several discontinued products on their website;when you click on those products, you get nowhere.
When I am considering a skin product, I go to Cosmetics Cop.
She analyzes each ingredient for safety and effectiveness.
I also read Consumer Reports.
I think what Padgett says about cancer is true, if you bombard yourself with enough of something it might do harm.
OTOH
I am all for natural and organic stuff, but only if it actually does something.
