That second link gave me a good laugh..."spicy soda" in the 2nd paragraph! Spicy, not

Anyway I had many many cases of the anniversary mix and never thought to look on the cans though I do remember now that they did taste a bit strange. But now I'm back on the regular formula and don't notice that strange taste. FWIW I'd rather put pure sugar in my body than HFCS anyday. Bring it back!

HFCS should be banned as far as I'm concerned. In Europe, it tends to be used a lot less and they have a far dimmer view of this nasty stuff (rightly so).

There are countless links to health problems such as obesity, diabetes and even forms of cancer. Sugar is far less harmful. Human beings are not meant to eat this manufactured garbage. This is why I try to avoid it as best as I can.

I think it's pretty funny that people are drinking soda and worrying about the kinds of sugars in it. That should be the least of your worries.

I would like to know what the issue is with this. I watched a show about soft drinks today, and they claimed that the HFCS used is HCFS-55. That means it is 55% fructose, and 45% glucose. What they used previously was 50% fructose and 50% glucose. So it's not that big a difference!

I bought an anniversary case today and it has HFCS in it. Not sure why the link(s) above lead one to believe they used pure sugar in them.

There was some Pepsi made with sugar here not too long ago and it disappeared later. Could've been because Tucson is generally a test market for some unknown to me reason.

Not that I'm a fan of HFCS, but I'd worry even more about the diet soda.

People should not drink soda, period. Nothing about it is good for you.

Try the flavored seltzers with no sugar or sweetener, they are refreshing and have no calories, chemicals or sodium. I drink those alternating with purified water with lemon.

Was it the "Heritage" Dr. Pepper?

I tried seltzer--ended up having to mix it with lemonade flavor "Kool-Aid" (but a store brand) to make it barely palatable.

I don't like the taste of plain water, it must be flavored somehow, and soda is the cheapest flavored water I can buy.
