If you'd go with this you'd still have your good pain killers. (and maybe a nice little kiss.)

Ahhh, sorry! Cat is already out of the bag
My poor husband has never had a stitch, broken bone, surgery...etc. So he's a mess and getting VERY snappy with everyone in the house.
I know it's not a big deal...I could easily have a procedure like this over coffee BUT...for him it's a big deal so I will treat it as such.
I'll be in the room when he's having this procedure done so I can hold his hand and make conversation and keep his mind off what the doc is doing.
When he gets home I've got a nice surprise for him...
I already gave him his TV so he can install it before this weekend. I bought a nice bed tray and have also made him a menu like I was given in the hospital so he can choose what he wants for his first few meals (to be served in bed).
I've made him a gift basket and put in a copy of Consumer Reports Car reviews, a copy of Men's Health and when he's ready, a Playboy magazine
I also put a puzzle book in there, a puzzle that we can do together, an itunes gift card so he can rent a movie or purchase songs and some Hershey's hugs and kisses.
For one entire weekend he deserves to be treated like a King. He can do all the relaxing he wants while I wait on him because on Christmas Eve, I have plans for him

If you're talking LTR or married couples just use the pill. When fear of disease in not an option why the hell would anyone want to use rubbers? I hate 'em. Plus they can break.

I won't city_data, hence my name.
People research and save for luxury items. When was the last time you were in a conversation about how much it is to raise a kid. I was looking on the internet and I found ... You will have a conversation about a cars, homes, ipads anything material under the sun.
Kids are expensive.
Never ever having a kid.
Also, I asked my mom, why did she have so many...4. She should've stopped at 2. They had the cash, but damn. Granted, I'm the third kid.

As for Myself this would not fly. I would rather not have sex than use a condom in a LTR but I overheard a coworker say that her and her husband still use condoms for birth control and they've been married for 11 year, have kids and don't plan on having anymore
Vasectomy anyone?

From the time we were both committed to our relationship, we ditched the condoms. From then until several years ago, we pretty much used the pull and pray method and were willing to accept any potential pregnancy and it worked for us. Now that we are in agreement that we are "really done" as far as having any more children, I'm taking care of the bc. Next round, he will close the deal out once and for all.

We sucessfully used condoms for 7 years until my husband had a vasectomy. Only had one fall off and that was because we were unfamiliar with how sheepskin behaved. Made sex take a little longer but it was no big deal. At the time (30 years ago) we bought mail order to get the good ones (japanese thins) at the time.
Of course, had there been a mistake, we were married, it would not have been a tragedy. The one that did slip off, was before marraige and I took the morning after pill. Never had a slip off or break after that. If you use them properly it is not really an issue. I could not use a spermicide because it burned.
Both of my children were planned and in both cases I got pregnant the very first month we started trying.
The fact that my to be husband took seriously HIS role in preventing pregnancies was one of the things that attracted me to him.
He had vasectomy after the 2nd child was 3 so it has been a long time since we needed them.

Condoms have a 2% failure rate with perfect use. The withdrawal method has a 4% failure rate with perfect use. In a long term committed relationship where children are not out of the question, I definitely prefer the withdrawal method. Once pregnancy is no longer an option, vasectomy.
