Does Anyone Know How To Lighten Skin Color?
Hi,
So basically, I have fairly white/olive skin by nature. However, over the years through playing tennis, etc. I've been exposed to a lot of sun and am EXTREMELY dark in my lower arms/hands, lower legs (calf area) and face or any other area that has been exposed to sun. I'm not just talking a small farmer's tan, but there's a noticeable difference in pigmentation and it looks really disgusting and unnatural. Plus, some parts of the white areas have been hyperpigmented and there's ugly patches of dark skin spots. Does anyone know how I can lighten up these extremities of my body? I feel conscious to even take off my shirt to swim now because of this ugly skin tone.

Dermablend can cover it up, until it fades. Using sunscreen now, and forever more, will prevent it from getting worse. Lastly, seek advice from a dermatologist about the splotches. That indicates damage caused by the sun, and that needs to be checked, and then monitored for change in texture, size, shape.

If you use sunscreen all the time, the areas exposed to sunlight will eventually fade and become as light as the rest of your body. Sunscreen also slows the aging of your skin.
See e a dermatologist for the splotches. They are due to sun damage. You might have to have laser treatment or a chemical peel to remove sun damage.
