Just wondering. There is so much talk these days about how fat Americans are becoming. Well, do you consider yourself fat? Are you happy with your weight? What are you doing to change it?

In terms of BMI, I'm borderline between normal and overweight. I'd like to lose 20 lbs. I watch my diet and exercise at least 5x a week, so maybe I'll see some improvement soon. But, it IS hard to do!

I like to think that I'm just 30-40 lbs overweight, according to the "healthy" weight range for someone who is 5'4".

I don't think I'm fat, but I'd like to lose 30 lbs or so... I'm 6'1 though so I'll probably only go down a pant size at most. I recently got diagnosed with hypothyroidism so it was a constant struggle to lose weight. Now that I'm on meds it should be a little easier.

I am overweight so yes, I consider myself fat.
It's not so much the weight I'm unhappy with, but my body composition. I wouldn't mind being this weight if I were solid muscle, but I'm not.
I have been doing P90x and watching what I eat. A person I haven't seen in 6 months saw me yesterday and commented that I must have lost weight and I looked good. Another noticed the changes as well today. Guess whatever I'm doing is working!
PS, why isn't this on the diet and weightloss board?
