I went from being an easy size 0 to obesity after having kids, starting in my late 20s. I gained the standard 30 lbs during each pregnancy, but couldn't lose any of it afterward (not even the weights of the actual babies, grr!). Last year I thought I had a handle on my weight, but now it's crept back up some. It feels like a losing battle. Before kids, being thin was effortless. Makes me wonder if the pregnancy hormones or the stress of raising kids is part of the blame.

My advice is to appreciate what you have now and to maintain healthy eating/exercise habits. Don't allow the increasing complexity of life to stand in the way of your health as you get older.

It was at about 35 for me. However, I've found that you're not doomed to get fat as you get older. You just have to start watching what you eat and change your diet and lifestyle. I know, it's easier said then done, but I've been able to do it and maintain my college weight.
