So good to see many people with same issues, broke my leg some 3 months ago trying to save a stuck cat, here in Greece, hospital was a nightmare, took 5 hours to get me to the recovery ward, then 10 days to even fix it, now i have a metal plate and 12 screws, started some physio as advised, then after realising the swelling was pretty bad, decided to pay for a new exray, oh, it seems u have also broken ur ankle! great, my question is as most i guess, the swelling, its been 3 months, and most days the pain is ok (Never been told about meds or physio from hospital) its just the bloody swelling! getting me down, will i ever have a normal life again i wonder? they say to come back again with new exrays after 5 months, god what a bloody drama!

Broke my leg two years ago, had a plate and screws put in. The docs said the swelling would last for a year, which is about how long it did last. It still hurts sometimes, especially when the weather is changing. I think it took about 9 months from the actual injury for me to be able to walk without an obvious limp.

Well i decided to try something else, have been using a power shower for a week now, on the kinda pulse setting, all over the swelling area, seems to be working like wonderful! bruising has gone down, swelling too? able to walk much better? feeling better generally? try it, it may work for you too< unless this is an obvious thing i dont know about?
