Hi friends,

I'm suffering from mild chronic upper back pain near the spine and between my shoulder blades due to an injury that happened about 5 years ago. I am searching for a chiropractor for its treatment. I know there are many chiropractic techniques that are used to treat patients. What are some of the more well-known and recommended techniques, in general, and more specifically for upper back pain that I should look for when I query local chiropractors about their practice styles?

Default back pain

I also suffer from upper back pain, due to an injury. I've tried many different things, and several chiropractors. I thought DeCubellis Family Practice was pretty good. You wouldn't be able to do chiropractic things to yourself though. What has helped me more than anything, and allows for quite a deep sleep btw, is a particular kind of Yoga called Yin-Yoga. The point is that you hold each pose for 5 minutes. A five minute pose will build strength, flexibility, and forces your muscles to loosen up. Also, it is easier to practice at home, because instead of going to a yoga studio where you go through like 20 poses, you can choose 5 or 6, set your timer and do them at home. There is info on youtube and the internet about it.

I've gone to Decubellis, too, and had great results. as for techniques, mine was to see the doc once or twice a week!
