I sometimes get a tingling sensation when I become really relaxed, usually when I hear someone whispering or when I get a massage or see someone getting massaged. Even a certain sounding voice can cause me to be relaxed.
The tingling sensation usually occurs in my head, arms and legs. Sometimes in my fingers too.
Does anyone else experience this?
I researched it on YouTube and found out it was called "that tingling sensation" and "ASMR." There are videos with whispering voices to relax you to trigger that tingling sensation. One here- YouTube - Gentle Whisper: Sleep
Yes, I get it at times. I actually wish I got it more, because it's very calming. Maybe it's strange to say this, but I sometimes get it when I'm watching someone perform some sort of task like painting a picture (I used to get it a lot while watching Bob Ross) or some kind of mechanical work. I don't really get it from hearing anyone...so that YouTube video was kinda lost on me (sorry)...but mostly from some sort of gentle physical action I'm witnessing or experiencing.
