My allergies are so bad today i want to scream and scratch my eyes out, they itch so bad, it's horrible. Is anybody's allergies bad right now? I live in Northeast Pa.

I don't remember every having Spring allergies like this. I have watery eyes, sneezing, but the worst part is I feel like all my energy is gone! And at times, I feel like I can't get full breaths. I've been miserable all week. I suppose I should shut the windows in our house and turn on the A/C. I'm having problems just getting anything done, including work.

Tried Claritin daytime yesterday and today and that helped with the sneezing/eyes, but still feel like no energy and breathing issues. I'm otherwise healthy (work out/weigh what I should) and don't have any health issues. Any suggestions?

My allergies are acting up today too. My eyes are scratchy and not fully open and I've been sneezing too (going out and cutting the grass didn't help me any, lol).

Denverian, have you tried using eye wash or a Neti pot? Both of these should be available at your local drugstore. The eye wash is basically saline solution that you put into a little eye cup, and then hold over each eye to try to rinse out pollen and other contaminants. You may have to do it more than once to get relief.

The Neti pot is the same idea, only for your nose. It takes some getting used to, as you are pouring water in one of your nostrils, and letting it run out the other.

On a side note, I found out recently from a rheumatologist/allergist that I went to that anyone who has problems with their blood pressure being too high should stay away from any of the allergy meds with decongestants, such as Claritin-D. They have ingredients that can raise your blood pressure. She recommended using Allegra or Zyrtec. (I haven't tried either yet)

Everybody in the U.S. seems to have an uptick in allergies lately. And some people still believe chemtrails aren't a real thing...

My allergies have been terrible the last 2 weeks. I take zyrtec all year long and I use allergy Eye drops from april to June. Yesterday my was nose was stuffy and my eyes were burning. I cannot open windows all day long because of this. Everything is in bloom on Long Island and it's been windy lately so all the pollen is blowing all over the place. I actually have to put the A/C on from April to Ocotber because my allergies are so bad. I had gone to this one doctor when I was still living at home and he gave me a one time allergy shot that lasted 3 months in my system and I was told I could still take my allergy meds on top of that. I don't remember what it was called because it was like 6 years ago. It helped tremendously. I get headaches too.

On top of my first-ever allergic reaction to the seasons...I discovered I'm also allergic to my brand new eyeliner.

Rather than throw the eye liner away or deal with trying to return it (and THEN what eyeliner do I get with the credit? The store I got it from doesn't sell the brand I usually use!)...

I took a zyrtec for the seasonal allergies and my eyes didn't water and my nose didn't drip all day. First time taking allergy medicine, since I was a kid and there were only actifed, sudafed, and benadryl.
