It's actually better for your bladder to empty it regularly and fully. Trying to "hold it" for an extended period of time, especially when compounded with not getting enough water, can lead to more frequent UTI's (some women are prone to those and others aren't) because stuff has time to linger in the bladder and bacteria can grow. Having plenty of water going in and out dilutes anything that might be there and keeps things nice and rinsed out.

So no, I don't think going to the bathroom every few hours is necessarily a cause for concern, especially if you're drinking coffee, soda or tea along with that water, which may be adding to the urge to go. Caffeine tends to be irritating to the bladder.

I used to drink that much diet soda too...then I fell and broke my leg and the doctors told me I couldn't drink soda with phosphoric acid anymore if I wanted to walk again.

I drink about a gallon of water a day now and don't have migraines anymore.
