Despite the amount of money made on marketing campaigns to get people in America to be healthy... every single states obesity rate has increased in the past year.
But could this have anything to do with the peddling of junk food to children? Of course not, says the GOP, who is resisting even VOLUNTARY guidelines to limit the marketing of junk food to kids:
Parents can say no. Just because the ads are there doesn't mean mommy and daddy have to give in to little fattykins at every turn. Blame the parents, not the ads.
That said, the real problem is ever-cheaper food and less physically-intensive jobs, and even removing agricultural subsidies won't really change those underlying trends.
I don't think that is right. People are still passionate about things. But their passions include eating tasty food and playing video games.
