Mag, I'm a little confused. Here, where I live and shop, my milk cartons all have a "sell by..." date. It is assumed that if a gallon of milk is sold on the indicated date, it will take a day or two, or possibly several, to drink it all. So how would I know the "expiration" date?
To the OP, how long do these episodes last? Immediately after a meal? Hours after? Is it an on-going issue? Are you drinking enough water? There are many factors that could be in play here. Depending on how long this has lasted would be your indicator as to requiring medical attention. Obviously, something in your bowel is fermenting as it passes through. You could try eating a bland diet for a few days and seeing if that clears up the problem. Then start adding back, gradually, the foods that you usually ingest to see if the problem recurs. Good luck.
