O.K. The hot flashes have arrived and I want them to go away. Please tell me any natural ways that have curtailed them for you. It only just began and I am not sure I want to go the artificial replacement avenue, just yet. Tell me what has worked for you, girlfriend.

Well sticking my head in freezer feels great
Seriously, Extra Strength Estroven helps me, I take four a day and I take two Black Cohosh. I also take Bellaspas which is a prescription. I feel for you, it is a horrible experience.Last edited by I LOVE NORTH CAROLINA; 08-27-2007 at 09:08 AM. |

I have a little spray bottle mixed with witch hazel and some essential oils. Orange and peppermint.
I spray it on my face and neck. Easy stuff to make and gives a cool feeling. I also gave up milk and went to organic milk and buy only organic chicken because of the growth hormone. This stuff seems to be working for me so far. |

I started using the Fat flush plan to lose weight and discovered it greatly helped my menopause issues.
The things they suggested I do that I did... Started using flax oil twice a day. Started using natural progesterone cream. (from the health food store) Those things and then the diet that helps balance your hormones I think is what did the trick!!! No more hot flashes, night sweats, periods of anxiety, sleeplessness, etc. I also use Magnesium tablets for the sleeplessness by the way. IT WORKS and is cheap!!! Jean |

I have a regimen that works fairly well. I use the emerita phytoestrogen and progesterone creams, soy products (you can get isoflavones in capsules if you don't like soy), Omega 3s with fish oil, and a herbal blend with cohosh and vitex (chasteberry). Also diet heavy in phytoestrogens (veggies and nuts, etc) and daily exercise helps. A good website: Christiane Northrup, M.D. Web Site.

I have done nothing at all. I managed to get through the night sweats by throwing covers off...then pulling them back up...throwing covers off..well it worked for me. It was miserable but since moving to AZ where the last 29 days have been over 100, I don't notice the hot flashes anymore. Best of luck and I hope it goes quickly for you.
