I'm 16 years old and about two years ago I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst.
Recently I've been having lots of pain where my cyst was(is) and pain in the bladder area (maybe ovaries. The pelvic area anyways) and I'm concerned about why im having this pain. Also, I'm very dizzy and I feel like I'm gunna puke.
I am not pregnant, I have a stomach ulcer and chronic joint pains.
Now I know anyone would just go to the doctor but I'm from a very low income family and I can't afford a trip to the hospital unless absolutely needed. This is my first time using a forum and I really need help.
You need to see a doctor. Cysts aren't something to mess around with..either head to the ER or to your local Health Dept. If your families income is that low, you will qualify for Medicad.
My dd has the same thing...she ended up spending 4 days in the hospital. Don't wait..get some help.
Someone correct me if this is wrong now, but when I was young and had no money I'd go to planned parenthood for pap smears and other female health concerns. You might at least call and tell them what's going on and see if they can point you in the right direction.
My professional opinion is to go to a DR or the ER. Ovarian cysts shouldn't be causing a whole lot of pain.
I was recently diagnosed with one as well. I was not experiencing any pain at the time. But one thing that can cause an Ovarian Cyst to cause pain in during your menstrual cycle. The cyst can become inflamed and cause some pain and nausea. I just had this problem as well.
But in all honesty, I would go to the DR so you can get an Ultrasound or a Cat Scan to be sure that it didn't rupture or anything.
The OP is only sixteen. Her parents need to be involved.
