From Seasonal Affective Disorder and vitamins that my chiropractor gave me I became extremely constipated and ended up with a deep painful Fissure for which surgery was recommended but I healed it by myself and wrote about what I ate and drank to stop constipation. Too much to tell you here but it worked and I lost 20 pounds to boot. I put smoothie and salad recipes on my blog too.

Some of my basics are similar to the others:
Gluten Free Diet can really help those who are sensitive to Gluten
Lot of Fruits and Veggies
1/2 your body weight in ounces of water Plus 10 ounce when you are acutely constipated (I put some tasty water hints on blog)
My smoothies help me the most
Magnesium vitamin (I take it with Calcium and Vitamin D too)

I hope this will help you. See a Colon Rectal Specialist for chronic constipation. Many people can get relief from diet but illnesses and medication can cause constipation too.

Buy Badia - Natural Herbs Tea - 10 Tea Bags at LuckyVitamin.com&. My DH is going to start drinking this tonight. It's sold in most grocery stores on LI. I know someone who drinks it and it helps.

To add to the long list of the above, I recommend acidopholis. They will add the good bacteria to your intestines, which will enhance your BM. It takes a little while to kick in. BTW, unripen bananas are constipating. Ripen bananas are not, I don't mean the brown mushy bananas.

I would stay clear of the natural laxatives like sienna leaves. Just because it is natural, doesn't mean it is completely safe.

The constipation is temporary and it’s not serious. Every person probably has experiences of constipation in some stage of their life its cause of poor diet. Try to eat fiber 25-30 grams per day. And drink 2-3 liters of water per day it cleanse your body. And try to consume natural fruits and vegetables. Diet plays a major role to reduce constipation problem. And be active in physical exercise by doing physical exercise your blood passes through each and every corner of your body.

If you are having a bowel movement every morning like you normally do I don't know how you could be constipated. Are your bowel movements different in consistency, hard or hard to pass? If not I would consider seeing your doctor.
